Triple Play

eMarketer estimates that by 2012 there will be over 533 million broadband households worldwide, of which 94.3 million will be in the United States. A good percentage of these broadband subscribers will also be subscribing to a bundle of services including voice-over Internet protocol (VoIP) and Internet protocol TV (IPTV).

The opportunity in targeting, tracking and measuring content and media usage across devices is growing, but marketers have to know what they’re doing.

Flickr, ofrece subir videos

Posted by Mariela Pol On Abril - 10 - 2008

Online photo sharing site Flickr today launched support for video upload, allowing users to post videos of up to 90 seconds long to the site.Flickr said it is launching videos “gently” on the site. For example, it said that the videos will show up anywhere that photos do, such as search results, photo streams and RSS feeds, but they won’t play automatically. Only pro members of the site will be allowed to upload videos.

Google y New York Times…

Posted by Mariela Pol On Abril - 8 - 2008

Google and the New York Times, it has been announced, have collaborated to create a mashup that shows not only when breaking news forms, but where.  The New York Times includes ‘geocodes’ in all their news stories, apparently, and that data has been utilized by some engineers in what is presumably their 20% time to create a map layer that shows headlines and story summaries pointing to various points on the map.

With the new layer, you can zoom in on an area of the map, and see what news is being made in that area, or as they suggest in the announcement, use it in conjunction with other layers that show videos or photographs.
